

Judicial Delegate
1-Year Term
Judicial delegates are representatives from each Assembly District who serve to nominate their party’s local candidates for New York State Supreme Court Justice at the party’s annual Judicial District Convention.
Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old
-
Must be registered to vote as a Democrat in Queens County
-
Must live in Queens County (preferably in your same Assembly District)
Duration:
-
Serve a one-year term
-
Be able to attend the Judicial District Convention, which is one day for a few hours (date TBD)
Campaigning:
-
Promote campaign across social media
-
Collect a minimum of 500 signatures
-
Be available for virtual town hall style forums
-
Be ready for public speaking engagements
-
Be able to meet regularly with New Reformers for guidance, training, and support.
Serving as a Judicial Delegate:
-
Attend the Judicial District Convention
-
Be ready to vote alongside fellow New Reformers judicial delegates at the Convention
-
Answer questions from constituents regarding the court system, nominating process, issues related to reforming this process, etc.

District Leader
2-Year Term
District Leaders serve as their community's representative to the Queens Democratic Party. Each term is two years. The district covers half of an Assembly District, which are divided into two parts: Part A and Part B.
Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

Must be registered to vote as a Democrat in Queens County
-
Must live in the same district you run in (that's either Part A or Part B of your Queens Assembly District)
Duration:
-
Serve a two-year term
-
Be able to attend Executive Committee Meetings (about two-three times a year)
Campaigning:
-
Promote campaign across social media
-
Collect a minimum of 500 signatures
-
Be available for virtual town hall style forums
-
Be ready for public speaking engagements
-
Be able to meet regularly with New Reformers for guidance, training, and support.
Serving as a District Leader:
-
Attend the Executive Committee meetings (held online)
-
Be ready to vote with fellow New Reformers as a caucus on key reforms
-
Maintain working relationships with elected officials at all levels of government
-
Answer questions from constituents about a range of local issues
-
Encourage participation in our democracy, especially voting in local elections
-
Be present at local events and prepare for speaking engagements
-
Educate voters about local issues
-
Organize with fellow New Reformers District Leaders to raise awareness about important issues.

State Committee Member
2-Year Term
State Committee Members serve two-year terms to represent their Assembly District at the state level for the New York State Democratic Party.
Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old

Must be registered to vote as a Democrat in Queens County
-
Must live in the same Queens Assembly District you run in.
Duration:
-
Serve a two-year term
-
Be able to attend Committee Meetings (about three-four times a year)
Campaigning:
-
Promote campaign across social media
-
Collect a minimum of 500 signatures
-
Be available for virtual town hall style forums
-
Be ready for public speaking engagements
-
Be able to meet regularly with New Reformers for guidance, training, and support.
Serving as a State Committee Member:
-
Attend Committee meetings (held online)
-
Attend Democratic Conventions (date TBD)

Be ready to vote with fellow New Reformers as a caucus on key reforms

Maintain working relationships with elected officials at all levels of government

Answer questions from constituents about a range of local and state issues

Encourage participation in our democracy, especially voting in local and statewide elections

Be present at local/statewide events and prepare for speaking engagements
